“delight to work with”

“We hosted Chef Loan for a summer roll adventure cooking class in May 2024 to help celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and were so glad we did! Loan was a delight to work with, from planning emails to a quick site visit to program day itself, when she kept an all-ages family audience (3 years and up!) truly engaged for the entire workshop. Not only that, everyone who signed up for the program attended – community members sought out and committed to this topic and experience!”

” great at creating new recipes and adjusting the flavors to suit the taste of our diverse staff and patients “

Loan participated in our small business pop-up program for several months at our cafes in our Hunting Park and Kensington health clinics. We loved her Vietnamese Vegan food and her creativity in developing new recipes every week like her rainbow sandwiches, cauliflower and eggplant banh mi, and curry noodle dishes.  Using customer feedback she was great at creating new recipes and adjusting the flavors to suit the taste of our diverse staff and patients. She also did several demos and educational classes on Vietnamese plant-based food and connected very well with the senior community. She demonstrated her ability to cater for staff meetings, community events, and our retreat with over 200 employees. I really appreciated seeing her values through providing healthy food, education, and investing in environmentally friendly packaging.

“our youth program loved the cooking workshop

“Loan has a good personality for working with teenagers and our youth program loved the cooking workshop. She incorporated ingredients from our garden into a creative dish that was fun to make (banh mi). They even asked to take the leftovers home, which was a sign it was delicious. “
